Overview

We are currently seeking a Dining Service Supervisor to join our team. Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and motivates all hourly staff and administers all personnel programs and policies. 
  • Stocks all satellite kitchens and maintains inventory.
  • Ensures all sanitation procedures are followed in main kitchen and satellite kitchens.
  • Oversees seating arrangements in Dining Rooms.
  • Assures daily menus are posted in Dining Rooms for all meal periods.
  • Assists with scheduling needs of the department.
  • Responsible for all facets of Dining Operations and closing including proper stocking of supplies (i.e. china, glassware).
  • Balance the register at the end of meal service.
  • Hands on Supervisor during meal periods with concentration on healthcare.
  • Responsible for setting up/assisting with special functions.
  • Acts in a professional manner and maintains a professional atmosphere at all times.
  • Responsible for closing shift including complete clean up of kitchen, dishroom and floors.
  • Accountable for Safety/Risk Management in the Dining Service Department, and ensuring all regulations are met.
  • Responsible for accident investigation and implementation of corrective action, records, temperatures for food, dish machines, and maintains corrective action. 
  • Attending an annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know information and fire & safety procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of food service operations, supervision and departmental relations.
  • Prior Dining Experience required.
