Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our team!  Flexible hours and days are available; just ask and we are happy to discuss with you!  Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

Responsibilities

 

  • Cleans and services all areas and surfaces of the community including rooms, apartments, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
  • Cleaning, scrubbing, wet and dry mopping, vacuuming and dusting of floors, windows, radiators, equipment, toilets, sinks, mirrors, doors, appliances, walls, tile areas, and all vertical and  horizontal surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Empties trash baskets and disposes of trash in the dumpster on a daily basis.
  • Involved in special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate consistentcy in producing a clean, quality "product" or work area daily.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and compounds in a safe manner in which they were designed to be used.
  • Keep cart and supply caddy neat and clean at all times.
  • Follow safety data sheets (SDS), Hazard Communication Standards, and Right-to-know law.
  • Must practice and assume responsibility for self-safety and safety of your immediate work environment, including other staff and residents.
  • Ability to follow Fire Safety Drills and be familiar with fire and evacuation procedures for the department, and self in own work area.
  • Communicate to Supervisor and/or Director any challenges, ideas or suggestions.
  • Attend community sponsored in-services and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred but not required. 
  • Good organizational skills, enthusiasm, speed, attention to details, and an ability to work independantly. 
  • Must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuing basis and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50lb.
