Position Summary

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing (VPSM) serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all sales, marketing, communications, and public relations efforts across Silverstone Living’s portfolio: Hunt Community, The Huntington at Nashua, At Home by Hunt, and Webster at Rye. This role blends expert oversight with tactical execution, leading revenue growth strategies, stewarding the organization’s brand identity, and cultivating a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation.

 

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in sales and marketing strategy across senior living services, with a strong background in continuing care / LifePlan community settings and services. They are passionate about building high-performing teams and skilled at translating enterprise-wide goals into consumer-centric execution.  The VPSM will serve as a key voice in shaping organizational growth. This includes supporting both existing operations and future expansion or development efforts. The VPSM will play a pivotal role in aligning brand, culture, and customer experience to meet the evolving expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s consumers.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Integration

  • Guide the creation and execution of sales and marketing strategies that support company goals and growth opportunities.
  • Help shape and protect the Silverstone Living brand by making sure messaging and visuals reflect who we are and what matters to our consumers.
  • Participate in executive discussions about long-term plans, new services, and how we position ourselves in the market.
  • Bring the consumer’s perspective to key decisions about services, design, programs, and resident experience.

Sales Strategy & Team Performance

  • Build and lead sales plans to meet occupancy and revenue targets across all communities and services.
  • Support and motivate sales teams; track performance using clear metrics and adjust as needed.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and professionalism in all sales activities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training, lead sales meetings, and review team performance regularly.
  • Work closely with Executive Directors to keep sales performance on track and aligned with community goals.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

  • Lead a team effort to plan and run marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels to grow leads and brand recognition.
  • Use market research to stay ahead of consumer trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Maintain a clear, scalable brand structure that works across all communities and programs.
  • Make sure the brand is represented consistently across all materials, messages, and touchpoints.
  • Highlight what makes Silverstone unique in services, amenities, and resident experience.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure the brand promise is reflected in the culture and day-to-day experience.

Strategic Partnerships & Vendor Oversight

  • Manage relationships with outside partners such as ad agencies, CRM consultants, and other vendors.
  • Ensure shared goals, clear communication, and alignment on branding and campaign plans.
  • Hold vendors/partners accountable for performance, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Avoid overlap between staff and vendors by clearly defining responsibilities.
  • Foster a unified team approach between internal staff and external partners.

Customer Journey & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Seek continual quality improvement of customer experience—from first inquiry through move-in and beyond—for consistency and satisfaction.
  • Partner with other departments (like operations, HR, and resident services) to create a strong service culture.
  • Support onboarding and staff training to reinforce brand values and service standards.

Public Relations & Communications

  • Oversee PR efforts, content creation, and crisis communication planning with support from agency partners.
  • Ensure all messaging—internal and external—is on-brand and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Represent Silverstone at public events, in the community, and with industry or referral partners.

Technology, CRM & Data Use

  • Make sure CRM and marketing tools are working efficiently to track leads and campaigns.
  • Ensure data is connected across systems so leadership has the full picture.
  • Train teams to use CRM tools properly and consistently.
  • Track key performance data and share regular updates and insights with leadership.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Plan and oversee the sales and marketing budget, using resources wisely.
  • Measure what’s working by tracking ROI of campaigns and lead sources.
  • Adjust spending to support performance goals and business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, and/or communications with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior living sales and marketing leadership role preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing a successful sales team.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities and close sales.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in conflict management with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Public relations abilities to communicate all aspects of the organization.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Proficient skills in Powerpoint, Office Word, Excel, and CRM and other sales/marketing systems.
  • Must be able to travel in the New Hampshire area and produce a valid driver’s license.
